HSM's second Easy Biz Friday was held, 6.10.2023.

HSM and Salesforce held another successful Easy Biz Friday event in Peti Kupe on October 6, where participants could listen to great guests on the topic of mindshift, as well as personal and organizational development.

Boris Trupčević, Mladenka Majerić, Aleksandar Stanković and Ivana Paradžiković participated in the excellent panel that brought together experts from different fields. The panel focused on several key topics that are essential for our personal and professional evolution.

One of the key questions with which we started the discussion was: “Is the mindshift process necessarily painful? Does a change in consciousness, value system, always come after a difficult and dramatic moment? Does it have to hurt in order to grow?”. The participants pointed out that the change it is not always easy and often comes after challenging moments, but it can also be a source of deep personal growth and satisfaction.

Aleksandar Stanković bravely decided to talk about his struggle with depression, in his new book “Depra”, which marked a turning point in his life and helped him to face this challenge, but also to help others who are dealing with the same thing. Mladenka Majerić left a successful career in business to dedicate herself to the non-profit sector, and Boris Trupčević, after a long career, went on a pilgrimage and experienced deep inner changes that he described in his book “1000 Kilometers of Return to Self”. Each of them experienced a personal transformation in their own different way.

They also discussed whether mindshift is just another word for midlife crisis, and how various factors, including global events such as pandemics, can affect our lives. They also touched on how society treats dismissal or public recognition of mental illness and how it can affect career and personal life.

The panelists emphasized the importance of separating self-identification from work and diagnosis and agreed that vulnerability is not a weakness in the business world, but a strength that can strengthen relationships and organizations. They also agree that organizations should support the personal growth of their members in order to remain relevant and competitive.

After the panel, our Head of Business Solutions, Dejan Rogan, in his presentation highlighted the conclusion of the event, “No one has ever progressed even after that and said – ‘Ah, I’d better go back to the old way’.” This message emphasizes the importance of being open to change, both in your personal and business life, and how adjusting your mindset often leads to success and progress.
